sheppardDouglas Sheppard currently serves more than 200 active business corporations as well as non-profit corporations in his business law practice.

He graduated from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 1968. The former president of the Norfolk Law Association is a member of the Canadian Bar Association.

He is a Past President of the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario and has served as a Director with the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada. He is also an honorary member of the Simcoe-based Who-Did-It Club.

He has been involved with the Children’s Aid Society of Norfolk and the Town of Simcoe Foundation as a volunteer Board member. He helped raise money for the Century Fund, a scholarship and bursary, celebrating the 100th anniversary of Simcoe Composite School.

Doug has been a member of the Simcoe Rotary Club for more than 35 years (president, 1983-84) and is a Paul Harris Fellow.

The one-time member of the Austin Healey Club of America was the Chairman of the Austin Healey Club of America Conclave Canada held in Toronto in 1980. The conclave brought members and their show cars from all over North America. The surprise guest was Donald Healey, the originator of the Austin Healey, and his son, Geoffrey.

Doug is an avid sailor and enjoys spending sailing time on his boat “PASSAGE”.
